PhD Scholarship in Brain Computer Interface

A 3-year PhD position is available on Adaptive and Asynchronous Hybrid P300/SSVEP Brain Computer Interface (BCI) System for the Elderly. The main focus of the project will be design and application of advanced signal processing methods for real-time BCI.

This PhD project is a part of the collaboration between the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance (DRCMR), Hvidovre Hospital and Biomedical Engineering Group, DTU Electrical Engineering.

Starting Date: July 2012.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a MSc in engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the MSc in engineering.

Approval and Enrolment
The scholarship for the PhD degree is subject to academic approval, and the candidate will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes of DTU. For information about the general requirements for enrolment and the general planning of the scholarship studies, please see the DTU PhD Guide.

Salary and appointment terms
The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for PhD students. The period of employment is 3 years.

Job contents:

Professional profile:

Desired Skills & Experience
Your Profile

•Bachelor’s Degree with a preferred major in either Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
•4-6+ years experience in Windows desktop configuration, engineering, and support
•Minimum 3 years of experience with managing Microsoft servers and SCCM in an enterprise environment
•Understands effective IT Asset Management processes and best practices would be a plus.
•2-4 years of previous experience in a Systems Engineering, Help Desk, NOC or other technical support in a global corporate environment.
•Demonstrated strong technical support experience with large VMWare vsphere
•Experience working in a large Windows desktop/laptop/SCCM/Active Directory environment
•Experience deploying and supporting large scale O/S migrations and introducing new technology based on business needs and industry standards
•Solid foundation engineering and implementing software distributions with SCCM for the full lifecycle with diagrams, workflow Visio’s, support documentation and training, presentations, etc.
•Understanding of ITIL – Foundation certification a plus
•Must be able to speak and write in English.
